Education Service Center, Region 2 had formed a collaborative partnership with Texas A&M Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) to serve the science teachers located in the Region 2 area. This new collaborative has 36 science teachers/administrators participating in the program that focuses on science content for grades K-5.
Through partnership with GLOBE and TAMU-CC, our goal is to offer GLOBE training to K-8 and High School Teachers, and to establish an outdoor training site at TAMU-CC.
We plan on working with schools and teachers primarily in McMullen, Live Oak, Bee, San Patricio, Aransas, Duval, Jim Wells, Nueces, Kleberg, Brooks, Kenedy Counties, in Texas. ESC ¿ 2 serves forty-two school districts, seven charter schools and several private schools in the eleven counties of the Texas Coastal Bend. Our main thrust will be working with teachers in Grades K-12 in appropriate grade groupings.
