GLOBE U.S. Partners
Southern Connecticut State University (joined GLOBE on April 27, 2005)

The CT GLOBE partnership has been focused on developing pre-service GLOBE-centered activities as a part of the Master of Science Programs in Science Teaching and Environmental Education. In the past few seasons, the Science Education & Environmental Studies Department here at SCSU, has developed, piloted and now fully institutionalized a semester-long graduate course in Environmental Systems Science that is heavily GLOBE-centric, involves teacher/participants in local, regional and global investigations, and work in collecting GLOBE data from a variety of local habitats, biomes and local community settings. Participants conclude the course with full GLOBE teacher certification.
