Now its time for the $20 bill to get a
facelift with anti-fraud features and other improvements. The new version is scheduled to
enter circulation this fall, the U.S. Treasury Department announced in April. The $20 note
is commonly used in American commerce and its the bill most often dispensed by
automated teller machines (ATMs). The redesigned $20, like the new $50 bill, will
include a large dark numeral on a light background on the back of the note. This will make
the bill easier to identify by people with poor vision. The Treasury said that the
remaining denominations the $10, $5 and $1 also will include this low-vision
feature, as will the future redesign of the $100 note.
