Learn How You Can Help Spruce Up Our Beautiful Lands!

SPONSOR: Leave No Trace

Volunteers Continue to Learn from Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics

In 2007 and 2008, the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics once again partnered with National Public Lands Day sites across the country. The Center provided different forms of educational materials such as Leave No Trace reference cards and outdoor posters that were given to volunteers at the NPLD sites. The free materials were used as educational tools to teach the seven principals of Leave No Trace.

National Public Lands Day is an excellent opportunity to reach thousands of people who cherish the outdoors. The message of Leave No Trace was successfully promoted while volunteers helped to restore our public lands. Also, through a generous donation from Clif Bar, thousands of volunteers were provided energy bars.

This year, the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics will emphasize efforts to make Leave No Trace Master Educators and Trainers available to all site coordinators who are interested. Educational materials including Leave No Trace principles tags and posters will be available too.
