What is an OPM Appeal Decision Based On?

We must base our decision on:
 the work assigned to your position by your agency;
 the qualifications required to perform the work assigned to your position; and
 the proper application of the classification standards.

Our decision cannot compare your position to other positions and our decision cannot consider:
 qualifications you have that are not required for the work of your position;
 how well you do your work; or
 how much work you do.

You may not file a classification or job grading appeal electronically.
