Banner: Exploring the Mysteries of Actin and Myosin, A Symposium to Honor Edward D. Korn

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute cordially invites you to attend this one day symposium to celebrate the career and scientific achievements of Edward D. Korn. During Dr. Korn’s fifty years in the Institute, he has published over 300 articles principally on actin and myosin, including the landmark discovery of myosin I. Dr. Korn’s enormous contributions to the NHLBI include the ten years he served as its Scientific Director, during which time he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences. The symposium will feature twelve internationally recognized scientists who will present their state of the art research on the mechanisms of actin assembly and the functions of unconventional myosins.

Registration
There is no cost to attend the symposium, but participants are asked to register.
