Securing and Auditing Oracle Databases
(New for 2008)
Program Overview
In this intensive three-day seminar the
participant will learn Oracle’s database facilities and terminology along
with the commands needed to know to provide security and controls over
Oracle software and to query Oracle-controlled data.
Key Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participant will be able to
assess the security and controls of an Oracle server used in banking
applications and data.

Facilitated classroom discussion and lectures.
Duration
This is a four and one-half day course.
Level
Advanced.
Target Audience
Risk Management Examiners with 12-15 months on the job experience conducting
IT examinations
Prerequisites
ITEC, Networking (Telecomm, Network+ or TCP/IP), Securing and Auditing the
Windows 2003 Server, or equivalent operating system course. Because of
Oracle’s dependence on operating system controls, the participant should be
knowledgeable in the controls provided by Windows or Unix-type
system. Experience auditing, securing, or examining an operating system
environment.
