Manufacturers design and produce innovative water-efficient products
that earn the WaterSense label by meeting or exceeding EPA criteria
for efficiency and performance in specific product categories.

Am I Eligible?
Manufacturers can become WaterSense partners as soon as draft specifications
are announced for their product category, but they must produce
labeled products within one year of signing an agreement.
How Do I Join?
- Review the program
guidelines (PDF) (42 pp, 283K, About PDF)
and make sure you are eligible to become a partner.
- Complete and sign a Manufacturers
Partnership Agreement (writeable PDF) (3 pp, 274K, About PDF).
- Submit the agreement to watersense@epa.gov
or fax it to (703) 841-1440.
How Do I Get My Product Labeled?
- Once you've become a WaterSense partner, contact an approved
licensed certifying body to certify products to the relevant
WaterSense specification and obtain the WaterSense label (See
Appendix A of the WaterSense program
guidelines (PDF) (42 pp, 283K, About PDF)
for details).
- Follow these special procedures if you private
label products.
