Figure 8.10 is titled "Past Year Treatment for Mental Health Problems among Youths Aged 12 to 17 Who Received Treatment, by Reason for Most Recent Treatment: 2003." It is a bar graph, where the horizontal axis represents the percentage among youths who received mental health treatment in the past year, and the vertical axis represents the reason for the most recent treatment.

Among youths who received treatment in the past year for mental health problems, 50.2% received the most recent treatment because they were depressed, 25.7% because they were "Breaking Rules" or "Acting Out", 21.4% because they were afraid or tense, 18.9% because they had suicidal thoughts or attempts, 14.3% because they had family or home problems, 10.4% because they had school problems, 9.4% because they had eating problems, 8.8% because they had social or friend problems, 2.9% because they had other mental disorders, and 21.9% because of other problems.
