Figure 4.1 is titled "Past Month Tobacco Use among Persons Aged 12 or Older: 2002 and 2003." It is a bar graph, with the following note below the graph: "Statistically significant differences (at 0.05 level) between 2002 and 2003 are denoted by '+.'" The horizontal axis of the graph represents type of tobacco, and the vertical axis represents the percentage using in the past month. There are five categories of tobacco: Any Tobacco, Cigarettes, Cigars, Smokeless Tobacco, and Pipes. Within each type of tobacco, there is a bar for 2002 and a bar for 2003. For each type of tobacco and year combination, the percentage of persons using in the past month is as follows:

The percentage using any tobacco in the past month was 30.4% in 2002 and 29.8% in 2003.
The percentage using cigarettes in the past month was 26.0% in 2002 and 25.4% in 2003.
The percentage using cigars in the past month was 5.4% in both 2002 and 2003.
The percentage using smokeless tobacco in the past month was 3.3% in both 2002 and 2003.
The percentage using pipes in the past month was 0.8% in 2002 and 0.7% in 2003.

None of the differences between 2002 and 2003 were significant at the 0.05 level.
