Figure 3.2 is titled "Past Month Alcohol Use among Persons Aged 12 to 20, by Geographic Region: 2002 and 2003." It is a bar graph, with the following note below the graph: "Statistically significant differences (at 0.05 level) between 2002 and 2003 are denoted by '+.'" The horizontal axis of the graph represents geographic region, and the vertical axis represents the percentage using in the past month. There are four categories of geographic region: Northeast, Midwest, South, and West. Within each region, there is a bar for 2002 and a bar for 2003. For each geographic region and year combination, the percentage using alcohol in the past month among persons aged 12 to 20 is as follows:

The percentage living in the Northeast who used alcohol in the past month was 31.7% in 2002 and 32.0% in 2003.
The percentage living in the Midwest who used alcohol in the past month was 31.3% in 2002 and 31.7% in 2003.
The percentage living in the South who used alcohol in the past month was 27.8% in 2002 and 26.7% in 2003.
The percentage living in the West who used alcohol in the past month was 25.7% in 2002 and 27.6% in 2003.

None of the differences between 2002 and 2003 were significant.
