The services of the National Mediation Board (NMB) were invoked by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) on May 27, 1999, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as ARotorcraft and Fixed Wing Flight Deck Crew Pilots,@ employees of Air Methods Corporation.

At the time this application was received, these employees were not represented by any organization or individual.

The Board assigned Investigator Sean J. Rogers to investigate.

Subsequently, Melvin S. Schwarzwald, Counsel for OPEIU, filed a letter with the NMB which stated, AThe Office and Professional Employees International Union herein withdraws its May 25, 1999 Application For Investigation Of Representation Dispute for the Craft or Class involving >Rotorcraft and Fixed Wing Flight Deck Crew Pilots= of Air Methods Corporation (Flight Services Division).@

On the basis of this letter of withdrawal referred to above, the application is converted to NMB Case No. R-6687 and dismissed.
