Figure 5.5 is titled "Annual Numbers of New Nonmedical Users of OxyContin: 1995 through 2003." This is a bar graph, where calendar years are shown on the horizontal axis and the number of new users of OxyContin is shown in thousands on the vertical axis.

In 1995, the number of new OxyContin users was 21,000. The number of new users was 46,000 in 1996, 92,000 in 1997, 124,000 in 1998, 186,000 in 1999, 304,000 in 2000, 502,000 in 2001, 595,000 in 2002, and 721,000 in 2003.
