Frequency Use Designator

This data standard provides a standard list of designators for the kind of communciations that will occur on an asssigned radio frequency.

NWCG data standards provide a specification that enables the common usage of data among wildland fire information systems. This data standard consists of the following:

• Meta-data definition – the rules needed to ensure the data format and data usage are standardized across automated systems. (Last updated: 03/2004) [28K, PDF]
• Standard data values – the actual standardized data used by the wildland fire community, often provided as a pick-list or look-up table. (Last updated: 03/2004) [7K, PDF]
