Independent Evaluation Information
The Administration on Developmental Disabilities has funded Phase I of an independent evaluation of the State Developmental Disabilities (DD) Network comprised of State Councils on Developmental Disabilities, State Protection and Advocacy Systems, and University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. The independent evaluation will be a high quality, unbiased national evaluation to demonstrate actual impact on the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families that can be attributed to the DD Networks. It is aimed at providing feedback to ADD to help improve the effectiveness of its programs and policies. It will also serve as a decision-making tool for ADD to promote accountability to the public. Phase I of the independent evaluation project will involve the development of measurement tools for the study and a pilot study. Phase I is being conducted by Westat, Inc. This webpage provides current information about the project.
