The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joins GLOBE
The GLOBE Program is pleased to announce a new partner, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. An exchange of Diplomatic notes took place between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and The Embassy of the United States of America. Acceptance of the Diplomatic notes by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia took place on August 24th, 1998.In the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, a GLOBE Committee will be organized through the Ministry of Education. Five Macedonians and two Peace Corps Volunteers attended the September 1998 GLOBE Training Workshop in Samos, Greece. We welcome the students and teachers to the Program.
