FY-2007 WRP Contract Information
The following maps display information on Wetlands
Reserve Program (WRP) contracts that were obligated in fiscal year
2007.
This voluntary program provides landowners financial
incentives and technical assistance for restoring wetland functions and values
while maximizing wildlife habitat benefits on eligible land. Through WRP, the Natural
Resources Conservation Service provides technical assistance to landowners to
address wetland, wildlife habitat, water quality, and related natural resource
concerns on their land in an environmentally sound and cost-effective manner. In
FY-2007, NRCS enrolled 632 contracts
covering more than 95,000 acres into the program.
