NASA Administrator Visits GLOBE in Germany

The GLOBE Program is pleased to announce that on January 21, 1998, NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin will visit DLR, the German Aerospace Center and headquarters for GLOBE Germany. Students from Lessing Gymnasium in Koeln and Albertus Magnus Gymnasium in Bergisch Gladbach will also attend this exciting event.

According to Dr. Roswitha Gruemann, Germany's GLOBE Country Coordinator for Science and Technology, both the students and teachers are looking forward to Administrator Goldin's visit. "It4s very exciting for us to meet Mr. Goldin and present him our GLOBE work," says Brigitte Lauth, GLOBE teacher from Lessing Gymnasium.

While at DLR, Administrator Goldin will meet with Dr. Gruemann, Dr. Raimund Lentzen, and GLOBE students to talk about GLOBE activities in Germany. Administrator Goldin will also receive a special message greeting him and GLOBE Germany from Brooks Elementary School in Killen, a GLOBE school in Alabama that was trained at the Marshall Space Flight Center.

Congratulations to all of the students of GLOBE Germany for their commitment to GLOBE! Learn more about GLOBE in Germany by selecting the German flag from the "GLOBE Countries" option at http://globe.fsl.noaa.gov.
