This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The James E. Van Zandt Medical Center in Altoona, PA has a requirement for #2 fuel oil to be used for running emergency generators and in boiler plant if not on natural gas. The quantity being solicited is 12,000 gallons. Interested vendors responding to the request for quotation shall provide with their quotation documentation of the sulfur content. The sulfur content shall be less than 500 parts per million. Offerors will be evaluated based on the lowest price, technically acceptable offer. This evaluation will be based on a Go-No-Go rating. A Go offer is defined as a quotation that meets the requirements outlined in the solicitation, including documentation of the sulfur content.

Solicitation VA-244-09-RQ-0130 is set-aside 100% for small businesses. The solicitation is available at the following website: https://www.fbo.gov/index?cck=1&au=&ck=. No phone calls regarding this solicitation will be accepted. The Government plans to award a firm fixed price purchase order.



The closing date for receipt of quotations is January 7, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. eastern standard time. Late quotations will not be accepted unless determined by the Contracting Officer that it is in the Governments best interest to do so, as outlined in FAR clause 52.212-1(2)(i).
