Under the authority of 42 U.S.C. Section 290hh, Public Health Service Act, Section 581, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announces the availability of funds to expand and enhance grant activities funded under the Technical Assistance Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention grant announcement. The purpose of the supplemental funding is to expand the provision of technical assistance services to approximately twenty new Safe Schools/Healthy Students (SS/HS) grantees that were not accounted for in the original budget. The original budget was based on the President’s budget which assumed that new SS/HS grantees would not be funded. The supplemental funding is also needed to develop additional resources for grantee utilization in implementing their grant initiative. At a minimum the supplemental funds awarded will be used to conduct the following activities:

Cost-sharing is not required in this program, and applications will not be screened out on the basis of cost sharing. However, you may include cash or in-kind contributions in your application as evidence of commitment to the proposed project. The award will be made as a cooperative agreement. Please see the full announcement for the specific roles and responsibilities of the grantee and the Federal government. |
