New Log-in Process for wi.. id
(12/28/07)
HUD has started using a new user authentication software. It has been built into the US Map and IDIS Practice Area links below. While the port numbers remain the same, for those with a local firewall, the IP addresses of HUD'servers have changed. See the Configuring Ports for IDIS webpage for detailed information on the configuration of local ports for a grantee firewall.

To log on to the regular production area of IDIS, either click on your region in the map below, or on your state name in the list that follows.

New users, or experienced users wishing to hone or update their skills, may also log on to the completely independent IDIS practice area, which is a gateway to various databases for testing and training. Of particular interest to new grantees is the area known as "pseudo-production" ("Pseudo" for short). Once a month, Pseudo is refreshed with actual data from the regular production area (although the dollar amounts are fictitious). This data can be viewed and manipulated as desired without affecting the real data in production, giving users the opportunity to practice their skills in a completely safe environment. In addition, users of Pseudo can be given very broad access rights, allowing them to use IDIS in ways that are not available to them in the regular production area. Access to Pseudo may be obtained by phoning the IDIS help desk at 877-483-8282 or sending an email to idis.help@hud.gov.
