Figure 22 is titled "Mental Health and Specialty Substance Use Treatment among Adults Aged 18 or Older with Both Serious Mental Illness and a Substance Use Disorder: 2002." This figure is comprised of a pie chart, with the following note below the chart: '4.0 Million Adults with Co-Occurring Serious Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorder'. The pie chart shows the breakdown of the percentages of types of treatment that adults with both serious mental illness (SMI) and a substance use disorder received.

Among adults with SMI and a substance use disorder: 34.2% received mental health treatment only; 1.9% received substance use treatment only; 11.8% received mental health and substance use treatment; and 52.0% received no treatment.
