Admission, Hours, and Entrance Location

* Admission to all public areas of the U.S. Botanic Garden is FREE.

* Conservatory Hours: open 10 AM - 5 PM daily, including all weekends & holidays

* National Garden Hours: open 10 AM - 5 PM daily, including all
weekends & holidays
* Bartholdi Park Hours: open dawn to dusk, daily, including all weekends & holidays

* The Conservatory's main entrance is located at 100 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20001 (use this address for internet mapping searches). The National Garden is adjacent to the Conservatory, with entrances from Independence Avenue, from Maryland Avenue (at 3rd Street), and from the Conservatory Terrace. Bartholdi Park is located across Independence Avenue from the Conservatory, with access from any of the three bordering streets - Independence Avenue, Washington Avenue, or First Street.

Transportation and Parking

A limited number of metered parking spaces is available within a few blocks of the USBG. The use of public transportation is encouraged. Take Metrorail Blue or Orange line to Federal Center SW or Capital South stations, or Metro Bus #30, 32, 34, 35, or 36 to Independence Avenue and First Street, SW. Route to Tour Bus Parking Lot B

For tour bus operators and organizers, a map showing the tour bus route from the Capitol to Parking Lot B at Union Station (51k) is available. Click for map. Drivers should use this route when going between the tour drop-off/pick-up point on First Street, S.W., and the bus parking lot.

Accessibility

The U.S. Botanic Garden is ADA compliant and offers full accessibility for those with special needs. Handicapped parking is available on Maryland Avenue at Garfield Circle. The Conservatory offers pay phones with TTY capability. We also offer wheelchairs. Sign language interpreters are available by advance reservation; telephone 202-225-1116.
