This book has really helped me jump start my goal of being healthier. There are lots of great ideas for meals and snacks. It’s been a lot of help keeping me on track.

You need to add more vegetarian main dishes; one’s that don’t center around beans.

I am an Occupational Health Nurse who deals with many employees who have high blood pressure or have suffered heart attacks. This book is an excellent resource for these employees. The first 24 pages are informative, giving information on portion size, reading labels etc, the other 121 pages are devoted to the heart healthy recipes. I have purchased these books to give to employees who need more information along with monitoring their conditions at work. I feel it is worth the $4.00 each as it has helped keep these workers productive and healthier.

Last fall, my doctor expressed concern about my rising cholesterol. I stumbled on this website and began using the recipes that interested me, in addition to making other changes. As a single person, I find most of the recipes very easy to make, very tasty, and the nutiritional info is very helpful too. As a result of this and the other changes, my total cholesterol is down 30 points, my good c. is up, and my bad c. is down! I still eat the foods I like but they are now heart-healthy recipes. The doctor told me recently there is no need to go on medicine, in spite of a family history of heart problems! Thank you!

need to have quantites in grammes or pounds and ounces for wider appeal
