The contractor shall provide  hardware review and verification that redesigned 30 VDC Flight Control Electronics package (FCEP) and 115Vrms,1 PH, 5100Hz Command Sequencer (CS)  meet all coordinated FC interfaces and are compatible with legacy FC power interfaces ( MIB and PPSS). Develop, coordinate and perform engineering verification tests between redesigned FCEP/ CS and legacy FC power interfaces.Identify differences between complex 30 and tactical configuration; define potential impacts to FC/D5 LE tactical compatibility and recommend corrective actions.Review system level verification tests between legacy FC equipment and redesigned D5 LE power interfaces and recommend enhancements/improvements to insure compatibility.


 


Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA.  GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.  See Note 22.*****
