Hello!
Welcome to the website of New Hampshire Governor John Lynch.
snaps

Dear New Hampshire Resident:

I want to make New Hampshire a place of opportunity, a place where all of our citizens have a chance to succeed and have a better future. That is why as Governor I am focused every day on bringing together Democrats, Independents and Republicans to work to expand our economy and bring new jobs to our state, improve education, increase access to affordable, quality health care, and protect our special quality of life.

We’ve accomplished a lot together in the past two years. We eliminated a major budget deficit, without new taxes and while still investing in education, health care and economic development. We put $50 million in the state’s Rainy Day Fund, and reduced the insurance premium tax to attract more good-paying jobs to New Hampshire.

We passed one of the nation’s toughest and most comprehensive laws to protect children from sexual predators.  We invested in providing affordable health care to children and eliminated the ability of insurance companies to discriminate against sick workers, stabilizing our small business health insurance market. We’ve brought a renewed commitment to ethics and integrity to state government, with a comprehensive reform of our state’s ethics law and the creation of the first ethics commission for the executive branch.  And we are working to protect what is special about New Hampshire, with a major new law to reduce mercury emissions.

Working together, we are making great progress, and I ask all the people of New Hampshire to be partners in this effort. I look forward to working with citizens across our great state to make New Hampshire a better place for all of us.

Sincerely,
lynch
