As part of Trident II Fire control System and Attack Weapon control System tasking",


The Contractor shall provide System level coordination and integration of all activities to ensure successful fielding of the refreshed SWSMIN/AMIN PCDs, develop, coordinate and maintain a SWSMIN PCD Refresh POA&M and AMIN PCD Refresh POA&M, develop, proof, and perform verification testing of SWSMIN/AMIN descriptive and procedural documentation for the PCD, integrate descriptive and procedural documentation content provided by NSWCDD, define, document and execute system level integration tests for the refreshed SWSMIN/AMIN PCDs, develop, coordinate and perform engineering verification tests of the legacy SWSMIN/AMIN applications on the refreshed PCDs and provide coordination efforts between the SSPDMS and SDS development efforts.


Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA.  GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.  See Note 22.*****
