NRC TO MEET WITH ENTERGY TO DISCUSS SAFETY PERFORMANCE AT ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE Printable Version
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with representatives of Entergy Operations, Inc. on Thursday, April 11, to discuss the results of the agency's annual assessment of safety performance at Arkansas Nuclear One. The facility, which includes two operating reactors, is located near Russellville, Ark., and is operated by Entergy. The meeting, which will be open to the public for observation, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Arkansas Tech University, Doc Bryan Building Multi-Purpose Rm. 242, Russellville. NRC staff will be available before the meeting is adjourned to answer any questions from the public. A letter sent from NRC Region IV to Entergy addresses plant performance during the period April 1 to December 31, 2001, and will serve as the basis for the meeting discussion.
