The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with representatives of Arizona Public Service Co. on Thursday, April 4, to discuss the results of the agency's annual assessment of safety performance at the Palo Verde nuclear power plant. The facility, which has three operating reactors, is located near Wintersburg, Ariz., and is operated by Arizona Public Service Co.

The meeting, which will be open to the public for observation, is scheduled to begin at
6 p.m. at Estrella Mountain Community College, Estrella Hall, South Community Room, 3000 North Dysart Rd., Avondale, Ariz. NRC staff will be available before the meeting is adjourned to answer any questions from the public.
