NOTE TO EDITORS:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards has scheduled a meeting of its subcommitee on thermal-hydraulic phenomena on December 16-17 in Rockville, Maryland.
The subcommittee will meet at 8:30 a.m. on both days in Room T-2B3 of the NRC's Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The subcommittee will discuss the application of the Westinghouse Electric Company's WCOBRA/TRAC best-estimate, large-break, loss-of-coolant-accident code to nuclear power plants with upper head plenum injections; the NRC thermal hydraulic code review action plan; and the status of the NRC thermal-hydraulic research program.
Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, will be described in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
