AT FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in King of Prussia (PA) have announced the assignment of Richard Rasmussen as the agency's senior resident inspector at the James A. FitzPatrick nuclear plant in Scriba, N.Y.
Mr. Rasmussen began his career as a test engineer/chief test engineer at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii. Prior to joining the NRC in 1993, he worked as a system test engineer at Northrop Corporation in Palmdale, California. At the NRC, Mr. Rasmussen has worked as the resident and senior resident inspector at the Maine Yankee plant in Wiscasset, Maine, as a resident inspector at Indian Point Unit 3 in Buchanan, NY, and as a project engineer in the NRC Regional Office in King of Prussia. Mr. Rasmussen received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from California State University at Fresno.
