The Subcommittee on Plant License Renewal will meet at 8:30 a.m. on July 16 in Room T-2B3, of the NRC's Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The subcommittee will discuss the NRC staff's activities associated with license renewal. The Subcommittee on Reliability and Probabilistic Risk Assessment will meet July 17 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Room T-2B3 of the NRC's Two White Flint North Building. The subcommittee will discuss issues in a Staff Requirements Memo dated April 20, regarding situation-specific cases where probabilistic risk assessment results and insights have improved the existing regulatory system and specific cases in which this technique, when applied properly, can have a positive impact on the regulatory system. Other aspects of the meetings, including an opportunity for public comment, will be described in a Notice of Meeting published in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
