NOTE TO EDITORS:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received five reports from its Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards following the committee's 451st meeting April 2-4. The reports, in the form of letters, provide comments on:
-- Plans to increase performance-based approaches in regulatory activities.
-- The safety aspects of the Westinghouse Electric Co. application for certification of the AP600 plant design - Interim Letter 2.
-- Proposed rulemaking: Changes to Paragraph (h) of 10 CFR 50.55a, "Codes and Standards."
-- Draft commission paper, "Status of the Environmental Qualification Task Action Plan."
-- Proposed final generic letter, "Year 2000 Readiness of Computer Systems at Nuclear Power Plants."
