THOMAS FARNHOLTZ ASSIGNED SENIOR RESIDENT INSPECTOR FOR NRC AT WATERFORD 3

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has assigned Thomas Farnholtz as Senior Resident Inspector at the Waterford 3 nuclear power plant near Taft, Louisiana. Mr. Farnholtz assumed his post on April 13.

Mr. Farnholtz is a 1991 graduate of San Diego State University with a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy submarine service for six years prior to attending college and joined the NRC as a reactor engineering intern upon graduation. He was the resident inspector at V C Summer, a nuclear power plant near Columbia, South Carolina, for four and one-half years prior to being assigned as senior resident at Waterford 3.

Mr. Farnholtz will reside in Luling, Louisiana, with his wife Maria.
