U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Atlanta have announced the assignment of John Zeiler as the new Senior Resident Inspector at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant near Waynesboro, Georgia.
Before being assigned to Vogtle, Zeiler worked as a resident inspector for two years at Carolina Power & Light's H. B. Robinson nuclear power plant located near Hartsville, South Carolina and for five years as a resident inspector at Duke Energy's Catawba nuclear power plant near York, South Carolina. He joined the NRC in April 1987 as a reactor engineer in the NRC's region office in Atlanta. Zeiler received a B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Mechanical Engineering degree from North Carolina State Univeristy in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Zeiler joins NRC Resident Inspectors Malcolm Widmann and Kathleen O'Donohue at the Vogtle plant. The NRC inspectors at Vogtle can be reached at (706)-554-9901.
