NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commisison staff has scheduled the following upcoming meetings on Millstone Station:

On Wednesday, February 11, the NRC's Special Projects Office will meet with representatives of Northeast Utilties, Sargent and Lundy and Parsons Power Group to discuss the status of the Millstone Units 2 and 3 Independent Corrective Action Verification Program. The meeting, which begins at 9:00 a.m., will be held in the Leland F. Sillin Training Center at the Millstone site. It is open to the public for observation.

On Thursday, February 19, the Special Projects Office staff, officials from NU, Sargent and Lundy, Parsons Power Group and Little Harbor Consultants, will brief the Commission on the status of the restart process for Millstone. The meeting, which is open for public observation, will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners' Conference Room at NRC headquarters in Rockville, Md.

On Thursday, February 26, the NRC staff will release preliminary findings of an inspection of the emergency preparedness program at Millstone Station. The meeting will be held in the Leland F. Sillin Training Center, beginning at 2:00 p.m. It is open to the public for observation.
