- Elementary GLOBE - Elementary GLOBE is designed to introduce K-4 students to the study of Earth system science. Elementary GLOBE forms and instructional unit that comprises five modules that address ESS and interrelated subjects including weather, water, seasons, and soils. [Elementary GLOBE]
- Assemble an Inquiry - a tool developed by the S2TASK Project for creating customized GLOBE units for middle and high school that are aligned with the National Science Education Standards and the Benchmarks for Science Literacy. [Assemble an Inquiry]
- GLOBE Videos - These videos help detail the basics Earth system science and using GLOBE resources. They are available in a variety of formats, but please be aware that some of the materials may not correspond to the latest version of the GLOBE Teacher's Guide. [GLOBE Videos]

General GLOBE Resources
- Media Materials - Brochures and associated materials that highlight key components of the GLOBE Program are available in a variety of formats. [Media Materials]
- Regional Newsletters - GLOBE produces newsletters for different regions. They can be downloaded from the Partners' section of the Web site. [For Partners]
- GLOBE Teacher Certificates - These certificates are given to teachers upon completing training. A template for creating them is available to GLOBE Partners who are logged into the GLOBE Web site and enter the Administration section of the Web site. [GLOBE Stars Certificates]
- GLOBE Logos - The logo can be downloaded in a variety of formats and used for making stickers or other materials. [GLOBE Logos]
- Sounds of GLOBE - Audio files in MP3 format. [Sounds of GLOBE]
- GLOBE Instrument and Equipment Suppliers - There are a number of manufacturers who sell the equipment needed to carry out the GLOBE Protocols. The instruments sold by these vendors adhere to the specifications established by GLOBE scientists for quality data collection. [GLOBE Instrument and Equipment Suppliers]
Atmosphere Materials

- Contrail ID Chart - this chart complements the GLOBE Cloud Chart and aids in identifying contrail types. It is available for download from the Contrail Team at NASA. [Contrail ID Chart]
- Cloud Protocol Online Teaching Module - this is an interactive online teaching module of the GLOBE Clouds protocol. It is designed for teachers and trainers but can be adapted for other audiences. It requires a free browser plug-in, Macromedia Flash Player 7.0. [Clouds Module]
Soil Materials
- Soil Characterization Field Guide - This is a resource for guiding you through the process of collecting GLOBE soil characterization measurements. It is available from the Soil Characterization Team of NASA. [Soil Characterization Field Guide]
Land Cover Materials
- MUC Field Guide - This is a resource for doing land cover classification, a key component of the GLOBE Land Cover Investigation. [MUC Field Guide]
- Tree Finder by May Theilgaard Watts - This is a manual for identifying trees. It is not written or produced by GLOBE, but has been shipped as part of GLOBE Teacher's Kits in the past. It is available through a variety of outlets, including Forestry Suppliers, a GLOBE vendor. [Tree Finder books at Forestry Suppliers]
- MultiSpec Software - the MultiSpec Software package is a resource for opening and visualizing Landsat satellite imagery. It is produced and provided for free download by the Laboratory for Remote Sensing at Purdue University. [MultiSpec Software]
- MultiSpec CD Tutorials and Images - the contents of the MultiSpec CD are available for download. Additional materials for supporting use of MultiSpec in GLOBE are available from the Land Cover Team at the University of New Hampshire. [MultiSpec Tutorials] [MultiSpec Additional Materials]
- Landsat Images - USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (http://eros.usgs.gov/) provides a variety of free Earth-science data products.
Another source of free Landsat data for all regions is the Earth Science Data Interface from the Global Land Cover Facility at the University of Maryland. This data requires being processed (which can be done with MultiSpec) to be useable for GLOBE land cover studies.
