FIND COMMUNITY SERVICES

California’s community-based public mental health services are provided by California’s counties.  To find local mental health services, contact your local county mental health agency .  The Network of Care for Mental Health is a great online resource to get information about mental health issues and to search for a wide variety of mental health and other support services in your local community.

PATIENTS’ RIGHTS

The California Department of Mental Health (DMH) administers an Office of Human Rights to ensure that mental health laws, regulations, and policies for the rights of mental health service recipients are observed in State Hospitals and licensed health and community care facilities.
