Your WBC Membership

The 2009 membership year is starting with some great new changes. The WBC membership is growing very fast, in fact over 50% in the last few months!

The first big change is our new rolling membership.  Every member will receive 12 months of membership regardless of when membership begins.

We have made changes to the Member Directory.  Members now have more than twice the space to describe their businesses and the cost for a logo has been reduced from $50 to $10.

Our new WBC website will be launched soon.  It will feature a Community Calendar, and it will have an interactive component to highlight members and their businesses.

Come and participate in a Breakfast Table.  Start your day with a tasty breakfast, a great speaker and interact with other entrepreneurs. The first Breakfast Table is scheduled for mid February and details will be available soon.

Some important things stay the same.  Membership is still $50 per year and includes three one-on-one counseling sessions with Lois Matheson, our Business Counselor.

We will continue to offer popular programs such as "Group Coaching" with Gail Zona and "Develop Your Business Plan" with Sheila Kabat.  Details on these programs will be available soon.

We will continue with our very successful marketplaces, the first of which, "Business in Bloom" is scheduled for May 4, 2009 in Portsmouth.  Save the Date

As always our mission remains:

The Women's Business Center fosters entrepreneurship,

building the New Hampshire economy

one woman-owned business at a time.

The WBC strengthens and supports women at

every level of business development through education,

counseling, peer support and advocacy.

Group Coaching

with Gail Zona

Are you asking yourself these questions: How do I get more sales? What can I do about this recession? Why don’t I ever seem to have enough cash? Why am I not making any money? My customers are all cutting back—what do I do?

Or perhaps your questions are: I do the same year after year—how do I get out of this rut? Where do I find more sales leads? How do I get money to fund my business?

Or even: When do I hire someone? When do I move from my home office into a real office? Should I take on partners?

The Group Coaching Sessions are the way to answer your questions and make your business soar. For 2 hours each month, we meet to discuss topics designed to help you learn how to manage, plan for, and run your business like the CEO’s at the fastest growing companies in the world. Handouts and worksheets are carefully designed to help you gain insight into your business. Meeting monthly insures that you will spend at least 2 hours each month thinking strategically about your business…the key to growing it. Interactive discussion with peers and the facilitator, an experienced business coach, provides tips, techniques and ideas you can put to use the very next day.

For only $30/session, the same price as a week of  Starbucks coffees, you can get results like these participants did: grew revenues 5 times over when she started; cut marketing costs in half and still grew her sales; increased her bottom line 20% and put more money in her pocket by cutting out the products that were not profitable. So, what are you waiting for? Sign up now and enter 2009 with a smile on your face!

The Group Coaching Sessions are facilitated by Gail Zona, an experienced business coach and MBA, who designed these sessions to help micro-entrepreneurs succeed. Based on her years of experience as an executive in fast-growing, high-tech startups, Gail designed a series of facilitated, structured coaching sessions using the best ideas available to jump-start micro-entrepreneurs and put them on the fast track. Now entering their 4th year, these sessions are educational, practical, and have shown remarkable results.
