Fryzel Continues Credit Union Delegation MeetingsSeptember 25, 2008, Alexandria, Va. – National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chairman Michael E. Fryzel met this week with delegations from the Wisconsin, Georgia, Ohio and Oregon credit union leagues, continuing his encouragement of involvement in the governmental affairs process on the part of credit union volunteers and professionals. Chairman Fryzel hosted a delegation of Oregon credit union leaders at NCUA Central Office in Alexandria, VA, September 24 (above) The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of nearly 87 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions. -NCUA- |
