Return to Home PageThe six datasets containing aggregations of the 471/472 detailed occupations into the EEO Occupational Groups and the EEO-1 Job Categories that were not available for the initial release of the Census 2000 Special EEO File were added to the final version.
The technical documentation for the Special EEO File datasets can be obtained as a single zipped file for either the SAS or ASCII version at SAS Technical Documentation or ASCII Technical Documentation.
The Special EEO File datasets and related information can be obtained through links in the following sections. The datasets below are listed in order of the Census’ dataset or file number and contain information on the Consortium’s original table specifications. Additional links to the SAS and ASCII formats and the ASCII record layouts for these datasets or files are provided in subsequent sections.
The datasets or files for the US and Hawaii can be obtained as a single zipped file for either the SAS or ASCII version at SAS Datasets US+HI or ASCII Datasets US+HI. As an alternative, a dataset for the US can be obtained as a single zipped file for a SAS or ASCII version at SAS Datasets US or at ASCII Datasets US and a dataset for Hawaii can be obtained as a single zipped file for a SAS or ASCII version at SAS Datasets HI or ASCII Datasets HI. Additionally, each of the datasets or files can be obtained through a link within the following dataset name, a few of which are zipped files due to their size. For a limited time, the technical documentation, datasets and related files can be obtained by submitting a request for either a SAS or ASCII CD to census2000specialfile@eeoc.gov.
There are two sets of files 1 through 24: (1) one set for the US Total, the District of Columbia, and each of the states, excluding Hawaii; and (2) one set for Hawaii. The description that follows the dataset names and links to the files provides a cross reference to the Consortium’s Specifications for Tables for the Census 2000 Special EEO File.
