Congo Joins GLOBE!
Please welcome the Republic of Congo as the 108th country to join GLOBE! Ambassador Robin Renée Sanders, representing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Madam Rosalie Kama Niamayoua, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Congo, signed the agreement. The signing took place on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 15:00 PM at Villa Washington in Brazzaville.
Mr. Pierre Michel Nguimbi, Minister of Technical and Professional Education, and Mrs. Emilienne Raoul, Minister of Social Affairs also attended the signing ceremony along with representatives from non-governmental organizations and schools. The Ceremony was covered by national press and television. Joachim MANDAVO, Program and Project Assistant to the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, has been nominated at the GLOBE Point of Contact in Congo.
Congolese schools join more than 15,000 schools with over 26,000 GLOBE teachers in countries worldwide participating in the GLOBE Program.
