I can't find a workshop in my area. What do I do?

In the U.S., GLOBE Teacher Training workshops are planned and conducted by GLOBE Partners in each state. Many times, the workshops you see posted on the "Workshop Schedule" page are only the ones that are already planned and are open to teachers in all states (some have restrictions). But this schedule is very fluid and updates almost daily. Partners who want to recruit teachers in their specific regions, do not always post the workshops on the Web site, but instead, host workshops by the contact list they maintain from their recruiting efforts and requests received during the year.

Therefore we highly recommend that you contact all GLOBE partners closest to you and ask them to share with you their workshop schedule for the current year. It is important for them to know that you are interested in becoming GLOBE trained, and this information also allows for them to plan future workshops.

To obtain contact information for all GLOBE Partners, please go to http://www.globe.gov/ --> "For Partners" tab --> In the drop-down menu from the tab, go to Partners --> United States. You will then see a map of the U.S. Clicking on a yellow dot will provide all of the contact information for that Partner. Alternatively, to see a list of all partners in a state, choose from the list above the map labeled "Select a state to view all GLOBE Partners". You do not have to attend a workshop in your home state. You can attend one in a neighboring state, or any state that you are willing to travel to, if the Partner is willing to accept attendees from out-of-state.

Outside of the U.S., GLOBE Teacher Training workshops are offered by Country Coordinators in each GLOBE country. To obtain contact information for a country coordinator, please go to http://www.globe.gov/ --> "For Partners" tab --> In the drop-down menu from the tab, go to Partners --> International. Select the country you are interested in. Here you will see a link for the GLOBE Program in this country. Please select this link and it will lead you to contact information for the Country Coordinator.
