TTB Search/Navigation HelpTTB.gov offers thousands of pages of content designed to improve users’ understanding of the bureau’s mission, services, and activities. To allow for easy access and viewing of its plentiful information and resources, several convenient means of navigation are available within the site. Left Navigation
The left navigation bar represents the primary means of accessing the main non-commodity-specific sections of TTB.gov. To access a particular section, simply click the corresponding link. Additional content can be accessed within each section, while the left navigation bar allows single-click access to any of these major areas from anywhere on the site.
The “Language Links” at the bottom of the left navigation bar provide the option to view TTB.gov in Spanish, French, or Chinese.
Right NavigationThe navigation available on the right side of most screens specifically addresses the section being viewed. There are generally two sections: “Quick Links,” and “How do I…?”
The “Quick Links” menu provides just that: a list of commonly requested resources through which users can access the desired content with a single click. For example, a commodity industry member reading about TTB’s National Revenue Center is provided Quick Links to related information regarding contacts, permits, and an organizational chart.
When applicable, the “How do I...?” links provide detailed guidance regarding procedures and activities associated with their area of interest. A member of the beverage alcohol industries, for example, can learn how to get labeling and formulation approval, determine and pay taxes, submit product samples, and contact TTB representatives who specialize in their needs.
Commodity TabsThe commodity tabs resemble those that might be found on file folders and, in much the same way, open organized collections of information specifically pertaining to particular industries under TTB’s jurisdiction. Users can further navigate within each industry-specific area, but they’re never more than one click away from all the information they might need regarding a specific commodity. Of course, the “Home” tab is always available to return to the main page of TTB.gov.
Top NavigationThe top navigation provides access to many of the operational needs for TTB.gov, including legal details regarding accessibility and TTB’s privacy notice, and a simplified site map with direct links to site content. In addition, users can click “Contact Us” to view a comprehensive list of contact info for entities throughout the bureau. Finally, a “Search” bar is available for those wishing to locate specific words, phrases, or other items anywhere on the site.
