GLOBE: Arctic POPs - This project seeks to create a network of GLOBE schools and scientists above the Arctic circle that will study the Arctic environment and contribute data to support Arctic research. Students will take GLOBE measurements and investigate the distribution and level of selected POPs (persistent organic pollutants) in the Arctic region, increase the knowledge of POPs and general environmental science in the involved schools, and contribute to the documentation of new emerging POPs in the Arctic.

Lewis & Clark Rediscovery Project - The University of Idaho (UI), in working with its partners Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia, and the University of Montana in Missoula, designed and constructed an online learning environment that offers an introspective look at our country as we recognize the anniversary of the Lewis and Clark Corp of Discovery. Included on the site are videos, maps, images, GIS, and NASA visualizations that interact with the UI-developed Learning Environment Interface, and compliment the content. The web site serves individuals of all ages, but focuses on teachers and students at K-16 level.
