Opportunities for College Graduates

Clinician with smileOpportunities for College Graduates are intended to provide individuals who have graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program with an opportunity to integrate their education and experience into full-time employment with the Federal government. The Presidential Management Fellows Program (PMF), the HHS Emerging Leaders Program (PMF), and the Federal Career Intern Program (FCIP) are a few programs for graduates.

Presidential Management Fellows (PMF)

The Presidential Management Fellows program was established in 1977 to attract outstanding individuals from a variety of academic disciplines.  This two-year program has helped agencies meet their workforce and succession planning needs by attracting masters, law, and doctoral students to federal service.

Health and Human Services Emerging Leaders Program (ELP)

The Department’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is designed to recruit high potential employees and provide fast track development promoting leadership and business skills through experiential learning and training.  Formal training and leadership development are the foundation of this two-year internship resulting in a cadre of well-trained, well-qualified employees for leadership roles in the Department of Health and Human Services.

Federal Career Intern Program (FCIP)

The Federal Career Intern Program (FCIP) is a full-time, two year career development program that provides individuals with an opportunity for permanent placement within an agency.
