NIH Protein Trafficking Interest Group (PTIG)

ACTIVITIES:
The Protein Trafficking Interest Group (PTIG) was formed in March, 1995 to promote the exchange of ideas among research groups which study any aspect of intracellular macromolecular traffic or related topics (e.g., membrane fusion, organelle biogenesis). Meetings are open to all members of the NIH intramural community as well as scientists from local universities and research institutes. Current activities include monthly workshops at which members of participating research groups speak on a rotating basis. Occasionally the PTIG also sponsors lectures by outside speakers and holds poster sessions in conjunction with other activities in the intramural program.
