If you have borrowed a book from the NIH Library and would like to keep it a while longer, renew it online. The process takes just a few minutes:

1. Go to the Online Catalog and click 'My-NIH Library Record'.
2. Type your name and NIH ID number (no dashes) to log in.
3. Click the 'Checked Out Items' button.
4. Scroll down to review the list of items you have borrowed.
5. Select items to renew and click 'Renew Selected' or click 'Renew All'.

The renewal period for NIH Library books is four weeks. Books may be renewed if they have not been requested by other staff members.
