Need More Efficient Access to Drug Information? Attend MICROMEDEX® Training on April 22

Join Bill Johnson of Thomson Healthcare on Tuesday April 22 to learn how to get the most out of the MICROMEDEX® drug information service:

  • Locate general drug information: recommended dosage, indications, potential side effects, proper administration, and monitoring.
  • Check drug interactions and IV compatibility.
  • Compare multiple drugs.
  • Identify drug therapies.
  • Access the electronic version of the PDR®.
  • Utilize dosage calculators.
  • View detailed evidence-based drug monographs.
  • Access emergency medicine information.
  • View and print patient education leaflets on drugs, lab tests, procedures, conditions, and treatment.
  • Consult MICROMEDEX using PDAs and smartphones.

Session Times

9:30 - 10:30 a.m.  :  General Session
1:30 - 2:30 p.m.  :  Session for Pharmacists
3:00 - 4:00 p.m.  :  General Session

Session Location

NIH Library, at the south end of Building 10. The 9:30 a.m. session will take place in the OC Conference Room on the main level of the Library. The 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. sessions will take place in the NIH Library Training Room, on the lower level.

Audience

Training is open to Clinical Center staff and patient care providers.
