Long a standard print source in the NIH Library's reference collection, the Handbook now is available online through the Databases webpage.
With chapters ranging from "Basic Constants, Units, and Conversion Factors" to "Polymer Properties" and "Health and Safety Information," the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics is a rich source of factual data in the physical sciences. The 88th edition expands upon previous editions with several new tables:

- Properties of Organic Semiconductors
- Solubilities of Hydrocarbons in Sea Water
- Solubility of Organic Compounds in Superheated Water.
